Securing the National Grid During the 2026 Summer Peak
As the early summer heatwave pushes the national power system's peak capacity to a record-breaking 58,000 MW, an increase of 5.6% compared to the 2025 record, ensuring a stable electricity supply is more critical than ever. At CMIT Group, we are always ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with grid operators to safeguard our national energy security.
Recently, our expert engineering team responded urgently to a request from Power Transmission Company 1 (PTC1), a member of National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), at the critical Hoa Binh 500kV Substation. Despite the heavy rain 🌧️, our specialists worked closely with the PTC1 team to conduct advanced Partial Discharge (PD) diagnostics on the 500kV - 2x900 MVA transformers.
Using our cutting-edge BlueBOX Technology and PDsolver software, we successfully filtered out complex site noise to accurately assess the equipment's insulation condition. This proactive approach helps operators make timely, data-driven decisions to maintain grid stability without any disruptions.
We don't just stop at periodic diagnostics; we are paving the way for the future with our PDEye 24/7 PD Online Monitoring System, ensuring risks are mitigated before they escalate.
A huge thank you to PTC1 for your continued trust and seamless collaboration! Together, we are keeping the national grid safe and reliable during the peak summer months and beyond.
