The objective of this study is to evaluate the need for preventive protection against lightning in BIM SOLAR & WIND FARMS at Phuoc Minh, Ninh Phuoc District, Ninh Thuan, VIETNAM, and to specify the most accurate thunderstorm detector, thus accomplishing the current standards. The scope of the product is to provide relevant information for site operators to determine and monitor the potential for lightning discharges in the monitored area. With the current state-of-the-art technology, this system contributes to the decision process regarding the launch and cessation of predefined preventive actions.
